Grilled cheese is a frequent flyer dinner in our house. We all love it, especially in the fall and winter with a bowl of tomato soup. We like to eat it year round however, as the weather starts to warm up it seems too heavy. So why not change it up a bit and even fancy it up. This has become our go to grilled cheese recipe in the warmer months for a lighter yet equally as delicious meal equivalent.
Of course today as I went to make this yummy meal I realized I was out of fresh basil but I simply substituted for dried basil and italian seasoning. Its even better with the fresh stuff and as we get our garden going we can clip it fresh from there and not ever have to worry about going without.
