Winnie The Pooh Baby Shower

As promised (better late than never) I've finally gotten around to getting the details together to share with you about the sweetest little girl baby shower my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I threw for my great nice a few weeks ago. I hope my niece thought it was as darling and perfect as I did.

She came to me and told me her nursery theme was going to be Winnie The Pooh and I thought it would be the most darling theme for her shower as well. She told me to run with it so I did! As usual for all of my parties I made the invitations on Canva. They were a classic Winnie the Pooh theme with a darling and feminine twist and from there my vision for the rest of the shower came to life.

The food was made my the meat master, aka my husband. He made his Tacos Al Pastor in his smoker since tacos are my nieces favorite food. We added toppings to make a full taco bar, chips, and a fruit platter. Boom- easy but delicious. As for the sweets, we got one of the best cheesecakes in town from Simma's Bakery in Wauwatosa. If you are local to the Milwaukee area you know. And my mother-in-law made her famous cutout cookies and decorated them beautifully. What's a shower without a little something to take home for the guests? For this we got chocolate covered pretzels from Ultimate Confections another delicious little stop in the area, yummm!

I don't know about you but sometimes I think games at baby showers can be so cheesy. We decided to do something very simple to occupy the guests time but not go crazy. Each guest could decorate a onsie for the sweet baby girl to one day wear. We also had diapers on hand for guests to write little sayings or notes for Mom and Dad to be to discover with each diaper change they will soon have- a little encouragement if you will 🙂.

Lastly, and my favorite part of throwing a party is the decor. My go to places to buy decor are Amazon and the Dollar Tree. You can find just about anything at these two places. As always no party of mine is complete without a balloon garland. Such a wow factor for a very little amount of money and time. This time it took even less time since I finally got smart and purchased a corded balloon pump. I loved the fact that I didn't have to blow them all up myself. And this particular balloon garland is probably my favorite to date; the colors of it were just beautiful. I pared it with a Winnie the Pooh backdrop that just melted my heart, word balloons and some colored Dollar Tree table clothes. Easy and affordable but just stunning.
